NYUAD International Hackathon for Social Good

Project Type: Social Media Strategy and Management | Graphic Design

Problem to Solve: Tasked with enhancing the visibility and impact of the NYUAD Hackathon for Social Good through effective social media management. The goal was to increase engagement and participation across multiple platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter) while fostering a community of local and international students, sponsors, and volunteers.

Each post on the Instagram page (@nyuadhackathon) is accompanied by visuals before and after editing, highlighting the transformation and detailing the creative process behind each piece. This not only showcased the artistic aspect but also demonstrated the strategic thought involved in each design to maximize viewer engagement.

Approach and Impact:

1) Content Strategy Development: Designed and implemented a comprehensive content plan tailored for each social media platform, focusing on engaging, informative, and visually appealing posts.
2) Engagement Initiatives: Spearheaded new strategies to boost followers, views, shares, and overall social media presence. Innovations included editing and revitalizing existing media and creating fresh, compelling content.
3) Community Outreach: Successfully reached out to university students globally, recruiting sponsors and volunteers, thus expanding the hackathon's reach and support network.
4) Collaboration and Coordination: Worked closely with the NYUAD External Relations and Engineering teams to ensure that the campaign was aligned with university goals and enhanced the event's success.
